All the way from Japan's Hokkaido island comes Etsu Gin! This fantastically floral expression features a selection of botanical from Japan, including tea leaves and yuzu. Rather excellent in a G&T, but can also be simply sipped over ice with a sprig of mint if you're a particularly big fan of floral gins.
ETSU stands for “pleasure in the Japanese language. It knows its origin in Hokkaido from a recipe using several local botanicals. These include berries, peppers, teas and fresh citrus from the Japanese islands). This gin also has a significant amount of yellow yuzu. However, Etsu gin carries a distinct floral tasting pattern. Furthermore, it was one of the first Japanese gins to be available on the market. Its distinctive taste and style are owed to the secret Asian recipe, on which its making has been based on from the start. The mix includes several Asian botanicals such as Juniper berry, green bitter orange peel and yuzu, coriander seed, angelica and licorice root. The yellow yuzu is probably the most dominant among all the ingredients.
